The Palmer Day Camp offers a ten week organized recreational program for girls and boys between the ages of four and eleven years old. The Palmer School campus provides an excellent setting with a swimming pool, tennis courts and recreational areas for summer fun. Camp activities include arts and crafts, organized sports and games, nature study, cooking, science, swimming, camp songs and more.
Camp runs from June 19 – August 25, 2017. Campers may attend for up to ten weeks and attendance can be arranged to fit summer vacation schedules. Camp will be closed July 3rd and July 4th to observe the Independence Day Holiday.
Camp hours are from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Parents may choose to send their camper(s) for one to five days per week.
Extended Day Care from 7am to 6pm is available for those families who require it. Campers arriving at Camp between 7am and 8:30am and/or staying between 4pm and 6pm are considered in this program. An additional charge will be made for this care and arrangements must be made with the Camp.
Lunch: Each Camper needs to bring his or her lunch and beverage each day. For safety, please do not place food or drinks in glass containers.
Snack Time: Each camper needs to bring a snack to enjoy mid afternoon.
Camp Attire: Campers are most comfortable wearing summer clothing which may include shorts, T-shirts, and a hat. A swimming suit and towel will also be needed. All items brought or worn to camp must be labeled with the Camper’s name.
Instrumental Music Lessons: Weekly lessons on the piano and all of the orchestra instruments are available during the ten weeks for an additional fee. Schedules will be finalized at the beginning of Camp for those that are interested.
Bikes and Trikes: Bicycles, tricycles, scooters, roller skates and roller blades are welcome at Camp. Appropriate safety equipment is required (Helmets, elbow and knee pads). Campers may leave their bikes, etc. at Camp. They are stored in a secure area. It is not mandatory that Campers have bikes or skates at Camp.
